WHO WE ARE ?
INPS Delhi was established in September 2023 as part of the Territorial Committee India under the International Association of Physics Students (IAPS). Since its formation, INPS Delhi has actively worked to build a strong and engaged physics student community in the Delhi region. We have successfully organized key events such as the School Day outreach program, the Physics Symposium, and the Academic Exchange and Student Conference on Advancements in Physics (AESCAP). These initiatives have created valuable opportunities for students to learn, collaborate, and engage with physics beyond the classroom. INPS Delhi continues to grow and expand its activities, aiming to provide even more platforms for knowledge sharing, networking, and professional development for physics enthusiasts across India.
OUR MISSION
INPS Delhi engages in a range of academic and outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening the physics student community. Our activities include STEM and physics outreach programs designed to promote scientific curiosity and learning beyond the classroom, as well as the organization and participation in national events and science festivals that provide platforms for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and interdisciplinary engagement among students from institutions across India.
The Academic Exchange and Student Conference on Advancements in Physics (AESCAP) offers a dynamic and intellectually stimulating platform that showcases the full spectrum of physics from its foundational principles to its most advanced frontiers. The annual conference features engaging keynote lectures, expert-led sessions, and interactive discussions that illuminate how contemporary physics drives innovation in technology, energy, computation, materials, and space sciences. These sessions are designed to bridge theory and application, fostering a deeper appreciation of physics as both a fundamental and transformative discipline.
School Day is a global outreach event where physics students bring the excitement of science directly to school classrooms. Organized every year around November, the event unites student volunteers to engage school students through interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and science talks. Each edition of School Day is centered around a specific physics theme, encouraging creative engagement and making physics fun, accessible, and relevant to young minds. The activities are designed to inspire curiosity and introduce students to real-world applications of physics through simple yet thought-provoking experiments and discussions. At its core, IAPS School Day is not just an event, but a platform for meaningful interaction between university physics students and the next generation of learners.
